I'm getting better :)

I don't know if it's a midlife crisis....or living a childhood dream, but I have recently dabbled with music and now I wondered, what the hell was I thinking? A few years ago, I got my first acoustic guitar from my sis in law, Lani. I told myself I was going to learn, but never got around to it. Making excuses like everything else I've wanted to do and never did. Last summer, I finally took lessons and realized I loved it! My guitar teacher was great and I learned a few songs. My next goal was to get a "big girl" guitar because my current one was quite "Fisher Price" like and didn't have the quality that a big girl one had.

Fast forward to present: I got a new, sexy Cordoba Classical Acoustic..A Christmas present to myself. My buddy, Ryan aka Shrek helped me out. He's a musical dude, in a band and everything, so he's been like a teacher to me since my lessons ran out, lol...I love my new guitar, but have been super frustrated with the distorted sound it makes when I strum. Turns out it's because I need to "relax  my fingers" like Shrek says..Ugh..so frustrated! It's like I have LEPROSY or something! I swear I've wanted to throw this damn guitar out the window numerous times! Why does it sound so good when he plays it? Geez!! Yesterday, I went to jam with my buddy....I am determined to learn "Alcholic" by Common Kings...He gave me my homework...4 chords..that's it. So why am I killing myself? My goal: to learn this song, and when I do, we will jam...and I will sing it...and change the words, cuz I'm not about to say that a dude has a "body like a coke bottle" ha ha...Patience is what I need.

Yes....I hopped on the blogging bandwagon!

I've always wanted to blog...I just didn't know how. I decided today would be the day. I told a friend of mine today, that my life wasn't interesting enough to blog about. Who wants to know about my life? Who wants to know about my life with a husband and 2 daughters? Then, I thought...hell yes...my life is pretty darn interesting...everyday is a challenge, good and bad. From waking up to going to bed..there is never a dull day in the life of a mother of 2 daughters...and there went my title..Married with Daughters.

So...a little about me: Most of you already know me, if you are reading this. I go by the name of Yeng to most, Flo to many, Flossie to a few, Mommy to 2, (I should be a rapper!) I have 2 daughters, Jadelyn Flora (8 1/2) and Jalena Lee (4 1/2), I have been married to Lee for almost 11 years. I have a handful of friends, that I hold dear to my heart, a job that I love with co-workers I adore. I am a simple girl, who likes simple things. A practical girl, who doesn't buy fancy things. I'd rather hang out at a coffee shop with my best friend, than hang out at a bar with a group. I love to laugh, and attempt to be funny. I like to talk....ALOT..ask my patients. LOL...
